Service Description
This course is aimed at organisations who have practitioners that work with children of all ages. The session is booked as a one off by the organisation and can have up to 25 people in attendance. The course aims to raise awareness of practitioners to the signs of child abuse and to know what action to take to keep them safe. Outcomes of this training: -Understand what safeguarding and child protection is -Be able to recognise the signs of abuse and to know how to respond to it -To be aware of risk factors that make children more vulnerable -To understand the impact trauma and adversity have on children and their families -Have knowledge of policy, procedures and legislation that safeguards children -To understand what your professional responsibility is, in keeping children and YP safe -To know how to recognise and respond to an allegation -Know what contributes towards a safe environment for children and young people -Know how you can work with other agencies -Know what to do if you feel your concern has not been listened to
