It is fundamentally important that we only have those people who are safe to work with children in our education establishments. This course is aimed at education organisations who need to have an update in safer recruitment. This course aims to inform you about what safer recruitment is, how it supports effective safeguarding practice and offers an indepth look at what is involved in the whole process. The aims of this course: -Understand what is meant by safer recruitment. -Know how safer recruitment supports effective safeguarding practice in schools. -Identify legislation that underpins safer recruitment. -Understand what is involved in the pre-appointment checks, including DBS checks, before a candidate can start work. -Understand the procedures that need to be taken in order to recruit safely. -Understand the importance of staff induction and safeguarding training.
